REMA Ecological Services, LLC (REMA) was formed in the spring of 1996 to provide natural resource management, environmental planning, and compliance services throughout the Northeast.

REMA is owned and operated by George Logan. Prior to establishing REMA, while working for other consulting firms, Mr. Logan managed or was involved in nearly 450 projects for federal, state and private sector clients. Mr. Logan has developed and maintained a reputation for sustained technical excellence, and is distinguished for his consistent effort in delivering innovative and high-quality environmental solutions. Mr. Logan’s commitment to responsible land use management and to providing optimal environmental solutions is demonstrated by a track record of successful, long-term client relationships.

Mr. Logan has a Masters Degree in Natural Resources Management from the University of Rhode Island. He is a frequent lecturer on wetland-related topics, particularly in the areas of riparian and wetland buffer zones, wetland wildlife utilization, and surface and ground water quality. Mr. Logan is certified as a: Professional Wetland Scientist, Associate Wildlife Biologist, and Soil Scientist, and Ecologist. He is currently pursuing a certification as a certified professional in storm water quality (CPSWQ).

Mr. Logan is a charter member and past president of the Connecticut Association of Wetland Scientists (CAWS).

REMA operates as a collaborative of experienced professionals that includes soil scientists, ecologists, botanists, wildlife biologists, herpetologists, aquatic biologists, entomologists, GPS/CAD specialists, hydrologists, and water quality specialists, registered sanitarians, and licensed environmental professionals (LEP).
